Euromedic International
Euromedic operates scanning, diagnostic, therapeutic and dialysis centres in 15 countries across Europe.
History
In January 2006, Euromedic acquired Mediscan – the largest private diagnostic centre in Prague and in the Czech Republic. The multi-modality centre (including MRI, CT, Mammography, Bone densitometry, Ultrasound and a large number of outpatient clinic services) will be the cornerstone for future development in this market.
Building on the success of its first acquisition in the Czech Republic, Euromedic acquired Prague Lab MUDr. Dana Šináglová s.r.o. on October 1, 2007. The Lab is co-located in the same facility as IMC Mediscan and provides a full range of clinical laboratory examinations including: biochemistry, hematology, immunology and microbiology. The lab has 24 collection points strategically located around the city and with its staff of 16 medical professionals performs over 2,000,000 clinical investigations annually.
Euromedic expanded its services in the country with the acquisition of “IMUNO” Laboratories in late October, 2007. IMUNO laboratories have a well recognized and respected brand image having served the community for over 14 years. The laboratories offer a complete range of clinical tests including: Biochemical, Microbiological, Hematological, Immunological and Nuclear. The laboratories (6 in total) plus 12 collection centres are located in the North -West part of the country and with its staff of 79 medical and technical professionals provide over 5,000,000 clinical investigations per year.
In October 2008, Euromedic acquired Lab "BioCyt, v.o.s." in the city of Brno (second largest city in the Czech Republic) South East part of the Country. The acquisition is very strategic for the company as it will compliment Euromedic’s existing laboratory business in the country and extend its line of clinical investigations into the specialized pathology laboratory services. BioCyt laboratory has a well recognized and respected brand having served in the community for over 15 years. The laboratory’s core business focuses on Pathology diagnostics examinations including: Biopsy, Cytology and Necropsy investigations. This year, the company with its staff of 12 medical professionals will complete over 26,000 pathology investigations.
In March 2009, Euromedic acquired “HISTOCYT” laboratory in the city of Cáslav, Eastern part of Middle Bohemia. HISTOCYT laboratory has a well recognized and respected brand image having served the community for over 16 years. The company provides laboratory examinations in the range of biopsies and cytology and has a license to perform specialized investigations. This year the lab with its staff of 8 medical professionals will perform over 39, 000 clinical examinations.
